Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When you create a free account, we collect:

• Email address — used to identify your account. Never shared with third parties.
• Password — stored as a salted hash only (scrypt). We cannot read your password.
• Preferences — your saved app settings (e.g. favourite league, display choices). Stored as a JSON blob linked to your account.
• Consent timestamp — the date and time you agreed to this policy.

We do not collect your name, phone number, payment details, or location. We do not track which pages you visit or build profiles based on your behaviour.

2. Anonymous usage events

The app fires lightweight analytics events (e.g. "preset loaded", "result recorded") to help us understand how the tool is used. These events carry a random session identifier that resets each browser session — it cannot be linked back to your email or account. No IP address, URL, or referrer is ever stored.

3. How data is stored

Account data (email, password hash, preferences) is stored in a SQLite database on the server. The server runs on a cloud platform. Data is retained on a persistent volume across restarts and redeployments.

We do not use cookies for tracking. The session cookie (wc_user_session) is a short-lived signed token containing only your account ID and expiry time. It is marked HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict.

4. Data retention

Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. Analytics events are automatically purged after 90 days on a rolling basis. You can delete your account at any time (see §6).

5. Third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party. The only external data sources the app uses are:

• The Odds API — fetches market odds for match predictions. Your account details are not sent to this service.
• football-data.org — fetches recent match results for automatic ingestion. Your account details are not sent to this service.
• ip-api.com — used to derive city/country from the server's incoming IP on session start events (anonymous analytics only). Raw IP is never stored.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access — retrieve a copy of your account data via Account → View my data in the app.
• Correct — email us to correct any inaccurate data.
• Delete — delete your account and all associated data via Account → Delete account in the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
• Withdraw consent — closing your account constitutes withdrawal of consent.

7. Age requirement

Edge Model is intended for users aged 13 and over. By creating an account, you confirm you are at least 13 years old.

9. Changes to this policy
